Trauma-Informed | Neurodivergence-Affirming Counselling Psychologist

About Ms. Manan

Ms. Manan Agarwal is a trauma-informed counselling psychologist and expressive arts-based therapist working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, emotional dysregulation, ADHD and neurodivergence, burnout, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, and life transitions.

Her work is particularly suited to individuals who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unable to understand why they keep struggling despite trying to cope. She works with concerns such as procrastination, difficulty starting or completing tasks, focus and memory difficulties, emotional overwhelm, social anxiety, workplace stress, low self-worth, and relationship patterns.

Manan takes an integrative, trauma-informed and experiential approach, drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, IFS-informed work, somatic and body-based practices, narrative approaches, and evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT and ACT. She combines verbal therapy with experiential and creative approaches when they are helpful, allowing clients to explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

She also works with adolescents and young adults experiencing academic pressure, exam anxiety, peer difficulties, social anxiety, identity concerns, family conflict, parent–child difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and challenges around transitions into adulthood.

Manan’s therapeutic style is warm, reflective, collaborative, and non-judgmental. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, she works with clients to understand the patterns underneath their difficulties and develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and practical ways of functioning in everyday life.

Therapy Style

“For me, therapy is a space where you do not have to arrive with everything figured out.

Sometimes we understand what is happening to us through conversation, and sometimes we need other ways of exploring it. I use creative, experiential, and body-based approaches alongside psychological frameworks when they feel useful to the client.

My role is not to tell you what your experience means, but to help you become curious about it, understand the patterns underneath it, and find ways of responding that feel more sustainable.

Whether you are struggling with emotional overwhelm, relationships, work, attention and motivation, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what is happening, and work towards meaningful change at your own pace.”
