TL;DR

  • Indian psychologists online for NRIs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the rest of the UAE, over secure video.
  • Sessions in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
  • The UAE is only 1 hour 30 minutes behind India, so evening and weekend sessions are easy.
  • Support for individuals, couples, parents, and teens (with parental consent).
  • India-based practice: not licensed by DHA, DoH or MOHAP, no insurance billing. In an emergency, call 999 or 998.

Is This You?

  • Long hours and a demanding job leave nothing in the tank by the evening.
  • Your visa is tied to your job, so work stress never really feels optional.
  • You're supporting family back home, and the pressure to keep earning never lets up.
  • Your spouse or children are in India while you work here, or the other way round.
  • You'd rather talk to someone outside your company and your community.
  • Your kids are growing up in an international school and the culture gap at home is widening.

Indian Therapist Online vs a Therapist in Dubai: Which Is Right for You?

A UAE-licensed therapist can sometimes bill your health insurance and connect you with local emergency services. An Indian psychologist online offers cultural fluency, Hindi or Punjabi sessions, and an outside perspective, away from your workplace and local community. Many NRIs choose the therapist they don't have to educate about their background, and some work with both.

What Indians in the UAE Come to Therapy For

  • Work stress and burnout — long hours, targets, and a visa tied to the job.
  • Financial pressure — supporting family in India, loans and the cost of living.
  • Long-distance families — a spouse or children in India, or parents ageing alone back home.
  • Marriage strain — two jobs, little time together, and in-law expectations. See NRI marriage counselling.
  • Raising kids between cultures — school pressure, screens and identity. See parenting and teen support.
  • Therapy in your first language — see Hindi and Punjabi speaking therapists.

Sessions on UAE Time

India is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of the UAE all year, with no daylight saving. A 9 PM IST session starts at 7:30 PM in Dubai, so you can attend after work. Weekend slots are also available. Every booking is confirmed in UAE time.

What Your First Session Looks Like

  1. Free discovery call — message us on WhatsApp with your country, time zone and preferred language. We listen to what's going on and match you with a psychologist suited to your concern.
  2. Your first session (50 minutes, secure video) — we talk about what brought you here, what you'd like to change, and what has and hasn't helped before. You don't have to share everything at once.
  3. A plan you understand — by the end you'll know the approach your psychologist suggests (for example CBT, trauma-focused work or couples work) and roughly how often to meet.
  4. You decide — there's no obligation to continue, and you can switch therapists if the fit isn't right.

Coach For Mind is based in India. Our Clinical Psychologists are registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), and our Counselling Psychologists are trained and practise in India. We are not registered with the DHA, the Department of Health Abu Dhabi or MOHAP, and we do not bill UAE health insurers. If you need a locally registered practitioner, one based in the UAE is the right choice.

Online therapy is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis in the UAE, call 999 (police) or 998 (ambulance), go to the nearest hospital emergency department, or call the national Mental Support Line on 800 4673.

Not in the UAE? See online therapy for NRIs and Indians abroad for every country we work with.
