  • Counselling in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
  • Morning to afternoon IST slots fall in Australian afternoons and evenings, from Perth to Sydney.
  • Support for individuals, couples, parents, and teens (with parental consent).
  • India-based practice: not AHPRA-registered, no Medicare or private health insurance billing. In a crisis, call 000 or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Is This You?

  • Your visa, your PR points or a sponsorship decision is always somewhere in the back of your mind.
  • You came as a student, and the pressure to study, work and send money home never lets up.
  • You searched for an Indian psychologist near you and couldn't find one who speaks Hindi or Punjabi.
  • Family is a long flight away, and the distance feels heavier every year.
  • Your parents in India are getting older, and every call ends with guilt.
  • Your kids feel more Aussie than Indian, and conversations at home keep turning into arguments.

Indian Psychologist Online vs an Australian Psychologist: Which Is Right for You?

An AHPRA-registered psychologist can work with a Mental Health Treatment Plan for Medicare rebates and connect you with local crisis services. An Indian psychologist online offers cultural fluency, Hindi or Punjabi sessions, and familiarity with joint-family and immigration pressures. Many NRIs choose the therapist they don't have to educate about their background, and some work with both.

What Indians in Australia Come to Therapy For

  • Visa and PR stress — skilled-visa points, sponsorship and the long wait for certainty.
  • International student pressure — study, part-time work, money worries and family expectations.
  • Loneliness and homesickness — especially in the first years, far from family.
  • Marriage strain — two careers, no family help, and different ideas about parents. See NRI marriage counselling.
  • Raising kids between cultures — identity, school and the gap at home. See parenting and teen support.
  • Counselling in your first language — see Hindi and Punjabi speaking therapists.

Sessions on Australian Time

Sydney and Melbourne are 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of India (5 hours 30 minutes during daylight saving), Brisbane is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead, and Perth is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead. Our morning to afternoon IST sessions fall in Australian afternoons and evenings, so you can attend after work or after classes. Every booking is confirmed in your local time.

What Your First Session Looks Like

  1. Free discovery call — message us on WhatsApp with your country, time zone and preferred language. We listen to what's going on and match you with a psychologist suited to your concern.
  2. Your first session (50 minutes, secure video) — we talk about what brought you here, what you'd like to change, and what has and hasn't helped before. You don't have to share everything at once.
  3. A plan you understand — by the end you'll know the approach your psychologist suggests (for example CBT, trauma-focused work or couples work) and roughly how often to meet.
  4. You decide — there's no obligation to continue, and you can switch therapists if the fit isn't right.
