TL;DR

  • Indian psychologists online for NRIs and Indian-Americans across the USA, over secure video.
  • Sessions in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
  • Early-morning IST slots fall in your US evening; late-night IST slots fall in your US morning.
  • Support for individuals, couples, parents, and teens (with parental consent).
  • India-based practice: not US-licensed and no US insurance billing. In a crisis, call or text 988.

Is This You?

  • H-1B renewals, green-card queues or visa rules sit at the back of your mind all the time.
  • A layoff — or the fear of one — has you checking email at 2 AM.
  • You searched for a “South Asian therapist near me” and found long waitlists, or no one who speaks Hindi.
  • You're tired of explaining why your parents' opinion still matters this much.
  • Your in-laws are visiting for six months and the house feels like a pressure cooker.
  • Your teenager says “you don't get it”, and you suspect the culture gap is part of why.

Indian Therapist Online vs a US Therapist: Which Is Right for You?

A US-licensed therapist can bill your insurance and connect you with local crisis services. An Indian psychologist online offers cultural fluency, Hindi or Punjabi sessions, and familiarity with joint-family and immigration pressures. Many NRIs choose the therapist they don't have to educate about their background, and some work with both.

What Indians in the USA Come to Therapy For

  • Visa and job anxiety — layoffs, H-1B timelines, performance pressure and the fear of having to leave.
  • Loneliness and burnout — a full calendar but no one to call at 10 PM.
  • Marriage strain — two careers, no family help, and different ideas about how close to stay to parents. See couples therapy.
  • Guilt about ageing parents in India — the constant question of whether you should go back.
  • Raising kids between cultures — identity, school pressure and teens who feel caught in the middle. See teen therapy.
  • Adult ADHD questions — finally wondering whether it's more than “just disorganisation”. See adult ADHD assessment.
  • Trauma — past experiences that resurface far from home. See trauma therapy.

Sessions on US Time

Our therapists keep early-morning and late-night IST hours for clients in North America. Early-morning IST sessions fall in your US evening, and late-night IST sessions fall in your US morning, so you can attend before or after work. Every booking is confirmed in your local time zone: ET, CT, MT or PT.

What Your First Session Looks Like

  1. Free discovery call — message us on WhatsApp with your country, time zone and preferred language. We listen to what's going on and match you with a psychologist suited to your concern.
  2. Your first session (50 minutes, secure video) — we talk about what brought you here, what you'd like to change, and what has and hasn't helped before. You don't have to share everything at once.
  3. A plan you understand — by the end you'll know the approach your psychologist suggests (for example CBT, trauma-focused work or couples work) and roughly how often to meet.
  4. You decide — there's no obligation to continue, and you can switch therapists if the fit isn't right.

Please Read: Licensing, Insurance and Emergencies

Coach For Mind is based in India. Our Clinical Psychologists are registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), and our Counselling Psychologists are trained and practise in India. We are not licensed by any US state board, and we do not bill US health insurance. If you need an in-network provider, a US-licensed clinician is the right choice.

Online therapy is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

Not in the USA? See online therapy for NRIs and Indians abroad for every country we work with.
